Clinical Supervision

I am a senior certified clinical supervisor having completed over 300 hours of practice. I offer Clinical Supervision to trainees and/or qualified practitioners individually or in groups.

'The supervisor's role is not just to reassure the worker, but to allow the emotional disturbance to be felt within the safer setting of the supervisory relationship, where it can be survived, reflected upon and learnt from. Supervision thus provides a container that holds the helping relationship within the 'therapeutic triad.' (Hawkins & Shohet, 2006, p3)

A contract will be made for any supevision work and regularly reviewed. Work will be carried out under the ethical framework of PTUK. Sessions will usually be 1 hour fortnightly for trainees and a minimum of 1.5 hours per month for qualified practitioners.
